Every year there is a really sleepy little bit of Norfolk that is transformed into a Magical Winter Wonderland. Thursford is a small village that is lucky enough to house the Thursford collection. The Thursford collection which consists of Organs, Steam Engines and Carousels is open all year round, however, at Christmas, Thursford manages to create the largest Christmas Show in the country. Over 130 performers take part, many of which usually work in the West End for this 3 hour extravaganza. It is difficult to compare this show to anything else, but I suppose it is most like a Christmas version of a Royal Variety Performance. The shows start on the 11th November and runs up until 23rd December, so there is plenty opportunity to attend with many people returning year after year. Often up to 50 coaches of people attend everyday from all the around the country to attend the shows.
Surely it is worth a look this Christmas but you had better book soon as many shows are booked months in advance.
