Time to stock up for Christmas: M&S Wine Clearance Sale until the end of October

I hadn’t seen this advertised anywhere else but just spotted it on one of the advertising networks we subscribe to. Marks and Spencer are running a Wine Clearance sale until the end of October with up to 40% off.  I’ve always found them very reliable for wine and never had a bad bottle from them, so thought this worth sharing with you. Sounds like a good chance to stock up before Christmas.  As far as I can see no voucher code is necessary, just visit the page below.

Marks And Spencer Wine Voucher Code

Their terms and conditions state: Up to 40% off wine clearance. Applies online at marksandspencer.com. While stocks last subject to availability. Discount applied at checkout. Offer does not apply to delivery charges.

If other relevant Christmas special offers catch my eye I’ll share them with you on the blog. Do let me know if you find this helpful and also please share with me any site you find with great offers.

Avoid Gift Cards & Vouchers as a last minute Christmas Gift.

Just spotted some timely wise advise from Paul Lewis. If you have forgotten to buy a Christmas present for someone I would advise that you follow Paul’s advice and don’t be tempted to buy a gift card.

Paul Lewis Gift Card Tweet

In recent years several big retailers have gone out of business (Woolworths etc) and gift vouchers become worthless. Even if the retailer doesn’t go out of business the vouchers or gift cards have use by dates and the shops tend not to give change on them. Best to give a cheque or cash, it may sound boring but it is safe.  See Paul’s blog for the full story.

Hamleys Christmas 2014 Top Ten Toy Prediction

Hamleys have published their top 10 toys for Christmas 2014 predictions today. I’m not sure I agree with all of these, so we’ll have to see what happens. The main thing here is to the underlying theme of ever more technical, electronic toys.  To help I’ve linked these suggestions through to Amazon.co.uk wherever I can as they seem to be a lot cheaper than the prices at Hamleys themselves..

Hamleys The top ten toys:

1. My Friend Cayla

2. Doh Vinci Style and Store Vanity design kit (£25)

3. KidiZoom Smart Watch (Blue)

4. Barbie Colour Change Handbag

5. Teksta T-Rex (£59.99)

6. Leapfrog LeapTV (£135)

7. Transformers Chomp & Stomp robot (£115)

8. BOOMco Rapid Madness

9. Disney Frozen Ice Skating Elsa

10. Xeno Burnt (Orange)

As always if you think the child you are buying for is going to want one of these then I recommend buying as early as possible as the retailers don’t hold as much stock as they used to and tend to run out in the run up to Christmas when items become really popular.
