It’s the start of September and time to get started with your Christmas planning.

September-2nd-2017-114-Days-Until-ChristmasIt’s the start of September 2017, and the last weekend before the children return to school next week.  As of September 2nd, there are 113 days left until Christmas.  Believe it or not, there are things you can do or at least start thinking about in September to help with your Christmas planning.

I have a month-by-month Christmas planning guide but for now, I highly recommend reading the September Christmas Planning Checklist. This is a printable checklist that you can keep handy in the kitchen and tick jobs off as you do them.

Some of these tips can save you a lot of money. For example being really clear about the cut-off dates for sending gifts and cards overseas at standard rates.

If I’ve missed anything on this list I’d love to hear from you. Please leave a comment below.

Christmas Planning Tip: Get yourself a spare speed peeler.

Todays Christmas planning tip is simple but could make all the difference to the delivery of a stress free successful Christmas lunch.  If you haven’t already got one I highly recommend these speed peelers. In fact I recommend you have two or three of these in your kitchen. If you get behind you can get the family helping with the peeling. Having a spare is also good as I’ve been known to need one only to find it’s in the dishwasher with 70 minutes to go on the wash cycle.

I’ve gone through a few of these over the years but this is the one I’ve got and recommend now:

At the time of writing you can find these speed peelers on for under £5.  (Click here)
