Samantha Lily is a small business dedicated to bringing you organic skincare from Essex! This small business has been created by Samantha West following the birth of her daughter, Lily, hence the name.
Samantha has made her own beauty products since she was young, but, suffering from anxiety and panic attacks made her look more deeply into natural products, as a means to enhance wellbeing, rather than relying on medication.
This combined with need to treat her daughter’s eczema, lead Samantha to study aromatherapy and alternative medicines. She holds numerous certifications in Aromatherapy, Massage, Skin Care, Mental Health and Well-Being.
I was lucky enough to receive one of Samantha Lily’s Mama’s Body Butter which is a blend of orange and lavender. Ordinarily, I am not a fan of lavender on its own, even though I appreciate its relaxing qualities. However, Mama’s Body Butter has a delicious orange smell with a hint of lavender. There is something about the smell of citrus fruits that immediately lifts your spirits and this body butter starts working it’s magic the minute you take the lid of the pot.
It is called Mama’s Body Butter as it has been found to reduce stretch marks and scars. Samantha knows this because her customers have told her so. It is wonderfully moisturising organic skincare and I found it particularly great is also especially great on legs and elbows and overnight on hands. I love products that a multi- purpose and work, which this does.
There are range of body butters, including one for children, called organic baby balm. It is brilliant that there is organic product for babies and children which helps with eczema. It is not great to rely on steroid cream or products that claim to be ‘natural’ but tend to still have a cocktail of ingredients you have never heard of. I use to have child eczema and as a parent of a child who has eczema, it is relief to have something organic to turn to.
Also, in the Samantha Lily range are a selection of bath salts. A relaxing bath at the end of the day can really help with stress and anxiety, and adding some gorgeous smelling bath salts also aids this restfulness.
I love the idea of giving some deliciously smelling and relaxing treats as a gift. Samantha Lily has thought of this by creating the Bespoke Letterbox Gift Sets and Gift Hampers. These are boxes filled with a choice of gifts from face masks, body butter and balms and accessories. This is such a good idea and provides a unique gift that isn’t the run of the mill brands we have heard of. The purse size body butter comes in at £8 and the Himalayan Dream bath salts is £11.50 for a 100g pouch.
These are great value for high quality natural products and brilliantly, you get to support a small business. Remember if you do support business, don’t forget to tell everyone about it. It is true that a small business owner does a little dance every time they get an order. A large company whether they are organic or not, generally don’t!
I was gifted the Mama’s Body Butter, but as you know from my other posts, I only recommend the things I love, and I love this little pot of sumptuous buttery goodness.
