Cutting the cost of Christmas

Following on from my blog on Sept 16th about sorting out your Christmas travel arrangements as early as possible this weekend could be a good time to book a hotel room for the Christmas period.  Martin Lewis – the Money Saving Expert today reported that Holiday Inn UK will start their Christmas room sale this Saturday (26th Sept 2009) at 00.01am selling rooms for the period Dec 17th to  Jan 31st.  They will be selling off Holiday Inn Express rooms from just  £29 (usually £40-£60) and Holiday Inn rooms from £35 (usually £50-£80).  It’s not unusally for all the available hotel rooms to be booked within a few hours of these offers going online.  So if you think you might want to stay in one of these hotels, it would be worth getting yourself organised to save a few pounds this Christmas.  I highly recommend you visit Martin’s site and signup for his weekly Money Saving Expert newsletter which is packed with similar excellent, timely money saving tips.
