My house is always busy at Christmas with family and visitors. For me Christmas starts on Christmas Eve when the whole family start to arrive for our Christmas Eve supper before we all go to the midnight service, this is followed by the traditional Christmas Dinner, Boxing Day lunch and dinner in the evening, then numerous meals between then and finally another big family lunch on New Years Day. I like to make these meals special for everyone so it’s about this time of year that I start to think about the overall colour scheme for my Christmas decorations and my table design for the dinning room. It’s good to plan well ahead so that you can check what you already have and buy anything new that you need well ahead, as there’s nothing worse for your stress levels than leaving this sort of planning until the last minute.
To give you some ideas for ways to create a beautiful dinning room table, I’ve looked at some of the wonderful Lisbeth Dahl items available from French Chic Interiors.
I love the idea of using these elegant Lisbeth Dahl place card holders with lovely gold edge cards to show where people are sitting. I always love candles on my dinning room table and I would go so far as to say that candles are essential at Christmas time.
These Lisbeth Dahl ball-shaped candlesticks have a light silver finish and are less than 30 cms tall, which I think is just right for a busy family dinning room table on Christmas Day.
If you have any ideas for great ways to decorate your table this Christmas I would love to hear from you. Leave a comment below or see my contact page for details of how to reach me.
