Pamper yourself this Christmas from Boots and earn points

With all the wonderfulness Christmas brings there are also undeniable stresses and strains one being the time you actually have to relax over the Christmas period.  There is always so much to do before Christmas from food shopping and preparation to Christmas present shopping.  Therefore, you should plan out a relaxing few minutes to pamper yourself even if you do have to wait until Boxing Day.  In fact, if you add your pampering luxuries to the Christmas List, then post Christmas is the best time to plan your relaxation!  Top of your pampering list should be a relaxing soak with luxurious bubble bath.  I like the look of Molton Brown’s Rosa Absolute which is a bold, sexy interpretation of Italian rose and available from Boots.

I have to say I don’t like many scented candles on the market as I think they are more of kin to air freshener than the beautiful scent of flowers.  However, True Candles are stunningly gorgeous not to mention elegant to look at.  The True Grace classic candle in cranborne rose would compliment your Molton Brown bubbles and make for a some luxurious moments to yourself.

Following on from your relaxing bath, give your skin a moisturise and renew with ClarinsRenew-Plus Body from Boots.  Whilst expensive it a quickly absorbed anti ageing moisturiser that will mean you can slip quickly into your clothes after getting out of the bath.

Alternatively, you can’t go wrong with a moisturiser in your favourite perfume or a new perfume you have yet to won.  My personal favourite is Opium from Yve Saint Laurent which is available in the most luxurious of body creams.  Whilst this perfume is a gentle nod back to the 70’s, it is one perfume I always return to.  Expensive but at least you or the person buying it for you will get some much needed Boots points for the new year!

Boots for Christmas Baby Clothes

As it is 3 months to Christmas today, it really is time to start ticking off your things to do list.  If you don’t feel like getting into the whole cake baking and Christmas card writing part of Christmas yet, how about thinking about winter clothes and specifically those for children.  I tend to forget Boots when I am looking for baby or children’s clothes but they do have some particularly nice little outfits.  I especially like the baby red Christmas Robin dress which is perfect not just for Christmas but all of winter either teamed with leggings or tights.  Speaking of tights they also have the perfect set of two tights in red and cream.

Boots Christmas 2013 Gift Guide

I picked up a copy of this years Books Christmas Gifts Guide at the weekend.

Boots Christmas Gifts Guide 2013

Boots Christmas Gifts Guide 2013

It’s A5 in size.  The front page reads  “Tap into out Christmas range. Order today and pick up tomorrow in over 2300 stores. 2013 Christmas Gifts. Boots lets feel good. 3 for 2 Mix & Match”.It’s 307 pages packed full of gift ideas.  I’ll pick a few gift ideas out from this years Boots Guide over the coming days.  But for starters I did like these:

Boots twine and scissors stand

Boots twine and scissors stand

I thought this would make a nice gift for someone to have on their kitchen counter. It reads ‘New and exclusive Twine and Scissor Stand, Cast iron twine holder with scissors. Holds approx. 150m of twine.”  I know when I’m cooking and I need string it’s never to hand and then when I find it in the draw I have to go and look for the scissors.

Cheese Dome

Cheese Dome

This is quite a nice little gift idea, although I would have prefered it to be a little more expensive and had a slate, ceramic or stone base rather than wood.  It reads “Lavendon Manor, Exclusive, new Lavendon Manor Cheese Dome. Wooden cheeseboard, glass dome, 2 ceramic serving dishes, metal cheese slice, Tiptree hot gooseberry chutney and Tiptree onion relish, both 38g for £16.50” .  It’s always worth looking through the brochures of hughstreet retailers like Boots for inspiration and last minute gift ideas.  For example if you like the idea of this Cheese Dome but don’t like the way Boots have done it you could always look on eBay oe Etsy for a vintage Cheese, put it in a lovely gift box with tissue paper, and a jar of your favourite chutney.
