We’ve just received offical notification of the last posting dates for Christmas, and they are as follows:
2nd Class – 18th December 2009
1st Class – 21st December 2009
You can send guaranteed next day delivery parcels up to December 23rd for delivery on Christmas Eve
International Airmail last posting date for some countries is as early as 4th December.
The Royal Mail will not be making any collections or deliveries between 25th and 28th December 2009.
As always the post gets really busy at Christmas so to avoid disappointment and upset it’s best to post as early as possible.

The postal workers in the UK have confirmed today that they will be holding a complete nationwide strike next Thursday and Friday in the UK. During the strike the cheapest way to ensure a parcel, important letter or gift reaches its destination is to upgrade it to the Royal Mails guaranteed next day delivery service. Not all the staff who work for Royal Mail are members of the postal workers union and the remaining staff at work will be tasked with delivering this high priority mail. If you need to buy something online it’s best to order in plenty of time and then look for low cost upgrades to next day delivery as a good way to beat the strike.
